Thought I’d share this video of paros at my LFS. The video is terrible as I did it with my phone. However it gives a bit of a taste of how paros are treated when they are in the shops. I won’t say which shop or where it is as I’m not going to condemn what is in all fairness an excellent shop. They just don’t really know about paros and I’m hoping to rescue these. Follow the link below.
The keeper told me that his water is around ph7.2 and he feeds them micro sinking pellets. I did see paros in his shop from months ago but I don’t know if these are the same ones. It looks like 3 males of possibly a Bintan variety, maybe Sentang? But you can’t tell from the video as it is so terrible. There are no females 🙁 as they are not popular being not colourful.
Mike, congratulations to that video. We don’t need to discuss video-quality, but it is new and courageous that someone puts such a vew into a trader’s tank here in our forum. It’s a glimpse in a tank how it should not be and will in short time lead to the end that the Parosphromenus will become ill and die.
Thank you! One must see bad examples in order to understand what one has to obey and to look for.
