Editing your profile, you only have the opportunity to fill in your complete birth date – it is not possible to only name the year of birth.
I do not like to give my complete data in the internet, it’s a question of data security.On the other hand I like to know the (approximate) age of my conversation partners (as well as the gender. For me it’s a difference whether I talk to a 15 year old boy or to a 50 year old woman ….). And I am willing to tell the year of my birth to give others the same information.
To cut a long story short – would it be possible to chose whether the day/ month/ year of birth will be shown in one’s public profile?
I would very much appreciate that!
Unfortunately it is not possible to change this setting, – the only alternative is to use the place where you can write personal text for this information.

I tried 00/00/1960 ……… but the system doesn’t even allow this …….
