    Hi all,

One of my learning points at the Hamburg conference was of the benefits of adding trace elements to RO.

CurrentlyI i prepare my Paro tanks with RO, which is acidified with peat, leaves (Oak and beech) and Alder cones.

Peter F and Martin H were kind enough to recommend a German product (Soell?), which appears to be unavailable in the UK, but there are products available here from eSHA and Dennerle. Does anyone know if these products are suitable to use in Paro tanks (without compromising other water values), or if not, can anyone recommend products which can add trace elements safely?

My tap water is much too hard and alkaline to simply mix with the RO.

    Thanks,
    John

John, here is the website of the Söll-company:

I have no experience with all this and I think it is exaggerated a problem. You probably can use other brands, too. I always used pure water that had runned through my kat-/an-filter and added some cups of tap water. It worked with all species.
