    Hello Frederik.

I am very pleased to hear that you have got fry of particularly this species, – that is very good. Glad to see they are doing well.
I kept 3 pairs, but since I send those off to you, my own has had no fry. They seem to have eggs, but either fry gets eaten before I react (though I have tried to take away the female just after seeing eggs) or something else is happening, – at least I have seen no fry. And its good that we are more people having this fine species.
I know that Rafael also has them 🙂 ..

    Hi Folks,

great to hear this news, Frederik!

as Helene mentioned, I am the third person who has these “tweediei”. I really love them! adly though, some of my initial stock has died so I am left with one male and two females but these do breed! I even seperated one of the nests soon after hatching so I’m currently raising several youngsters. It seems however, that the new plants I have added from one of my other tanks do their job well and some babyfishes even grow in the same tank with the adults. I am surprised how quickly the seperated ones grow despite being fed mostly with artemia naupliae due to the wintery temperatures…

I am really much looking forwards to soon spread some of my offspring to other breeders! This species, whatever its correct name, deserves to be cared for!!!

Btw: what camerasetup do you use for your pictures, frederik?

    Hello Helene!

Yes its verry fun, i was very happy when i first saw the fry!

Im sure you will see some to soon!

Atleast the female seem to not care about eating them, but the cf.Linkei on the other hand i havent seen a single fry in parents
    tanks from maby 7-8 spawns…

I took out the first spawn and had 15 linkei fry but all died same day from something wrong with the artemia =(

    Hello Rafael!

Nice that we are some peeps having this!

I realy like this species, its realy nice to watch them!

How many of them do you have?

    I have a Nikon D5300 with a Nikon 40mm macro!

Paros are realy dificult to take pics of, dark in tanks and as fast you bring out the camera they go for coffee brak! =)

    Hi Frederik,

    yes he is beautiful!!!

I now have one mae and two females since some of the really small ones have died soon after I got them from Helene. I think they were weakened and stressed from the transport. But now I also have many many youngsters. Some are showing some coloration and they start quarreling…

    Greetings Rafael

    Hey everyone!

    Thats indeed great news!!!

My group is also growing and some of my offspring are getting towards maturity. I think there will be the third generation of my tweediei Ruinemans swimming around by the end of september.
