    Hello all!

Got this 4 paros a cpl of weeks ago from a retailer, they are said to come from sumatra
and was also labels like that!

At first look in bag when pic up they looked like the other sentangish they sell allover but when i looked with flashlight the blue
was not as greenish as the other, also now they start to turn red in the finns, same red as my Anjuganensis and the body is not as robust
    as the sentang..

pictures is not the best, just to se the red and bodyform!

    Any clues/ideas?

Hm, the first impression of me ……….
The animals are very reminiscent of pahuensis, the dark spot is typical of this species. However, they are not dyed, perhaps still too young and the body shape also fits still or not so right

In identification matters I am mostly unanimous with Bernd, but not this time. First: I cannot see a clear dark spot. The colouring in the first photo is typical for a fish in a frightened situation, displaying several unclear weak spotlike patches. Second: the other fish is coloured in quite a different way, interestingly I admit, but the typical star pattern in all unpaired fins that P. pahuensis shows even in a rather young age is missing totally. Besides, the colour pattern in th end of the tail fin is different. This is an interesting fish and I cannot identify it at all. All Paros known to me do not match this pattern. Both fish may well represent different species.
But it is too early to quarrell about this. Both fish are still too young, do not show full courtship colours, and the photos are bad. Be patient for some weeks and repeat the photos with a better technique.

I am your opinion Peter, the animals are still too young and not dyed.
But the second picture is at least similar to a Pahuensis.
The first picture is certainly something different. We wait for better pictures to say more about it.

    Hello Peter and Bernd!

First, thank you for your time!

I have bin looking at theese fish now since i posted
    and something is strange here

3 of the fish looks like the one on the first pic
2 males and what looks like a female

The fish on second foto has same colorpatern
But much bigger/wider fins and difrent body type
they are all same length, also this fish has half the
the band in cadual fin blue, half green…

See pic, taken with phone first day but you can se size of the fins

    Time will tell more!

I spoke with importer today and he have about
15 animals left from this shipment, im going there
This weekend to look at them and bring home some more!

    Hello Fredrik
These animals do not look out for Pahuesis, I’m curious about what’s going on.

After some month well feeding, they perhaps look like these P. cf. bintan (this one Glaser 16)
