Greetings all,
It has been some time since I have posted here to the forum. It is good to see fantastic photos, videos, articles and posts still being contributed by the many members!
Recently The Cichlid Exchange in Portland, OR received shipments of P. sumatrauns. This is a species I have been hoping to see for many decades. Finally they became available. I have 3.3.
Here a few photos of this beautiful species.

Here a vigorous display. Both fishes with gold colorations.

I would like to share your infomation about these fish there (in the fb-group) as I know there are often people in the States looking for paros.These are very beautiful, and its such a relief and nice to now at all be doubting what species it is – theres no doubt about it here.

Yes, posting to your Facebook users a link that takes them to the forum post about these fishes is fine.
Almost certainly, they are P. sumatranus. A very elegant fish to be sure.
TCE also last week received P. phoenicurus. I can verify that they also are the correct species. This likely indicates that a recent import from Sumatra has occurred.Helene, please use these photos in the homepage under the species account, it would be an honor.

Thank you for letting me use the photo, I will of course label the photos with your species identification, – but there is no doubt about it being sumatranus – and our library of sumatranus photos is rather small so it will be very helpful to add these 🙂Also I will post a link to your post in forum.
