Category 1
Species, whose wild population under immediate threat of extinction or without updated data from field for long time or difficult to obtain in EU.
This category we split into 3 grops
Group1
Species we do not have now in EU
P. gunawani
P. harveyi (original from type locality)
P. rubrimontis (original from Perak)
Actions are being prepared for this group
Group2
Species covered by physical facility/organization
P. Paludicola (wild population less easy to obtain in EU
P. filamentosus (current population supposed from original areas, which now no longer updated)
P. quindecim (wild population CR and hard to obtain)
P. deissneri (endangered habitat)
Actions taken by personal contacts with each organisation
Group3
Species we still have in CCP BUT need intensive active efforts to maintain the population, otherwise soon disappear and hard to obtain new population due to extinction in wild or practical difficulties.
P. alfredi: wild population currently extinct, CCP population very limited
P. barbarae: wild population currently extinct, CCP population very limited
P. bintan Original population from TypeLocality Bintan Island : wild population currently CR, CCP population stable but breeders not enough – SOLVED, Possible to go to institution
P. kishii: wild population currently CR, CCP population stable but further wild population hard to obtain, need immediate amplification of ex-situ population in EU
P. pahuensis: CCP population very limited, wild population hard to obtain, need immediate amplification of ex-situ population in EU
P. tweediei: wild population currently CR, CCP population very limited
Actions for this group is very important, and we will try to take personal contact in all cases
