50l linkei

The young­ster I had are all grown up now. The tree young­sters were 3 males. So I man­naged to trade 2 for a female. That meens I have two pears now. I have put them in a 20l breed­ing tank. They have a coconut and a ceramic flow­er­ing pot for nest­ing area. The PH is low­ered to abou 6.0 at this moment. I think I need to go a lit­tle lower. But I will take some time to do this. My source of black mos­quito larve is van­ish­ing and the mos­quito larve I catch now are to big for the paro’s. They have daph­nia on the menu now, will daph­nia alone be suff­isient for breed­ing them ?

Which other food source would you reco­mand me to use ?

This is the tank setup, both are sim­i­lar. I am still try­ing to take a bet­ter pic­ture of the pairs. The first is surely a pair, butt with the sec­ond I still have doubts.



You can see one of them, in the left cor­ner under­neath the fil­ter. The tem­per­a­ture is 26°C is this ok for breed­ing, or does it need to be even higer ?

Any com­ments are wel­come, I would realy like to do wat it takes for breed­ing them now.

In the first tank, the female is being chased away con­stantly, should I remove her ?

A beau­ti­ful semi-​natural aquar­ium, but you can not look into the caves to check whether Nests /​eggs are avail­able and how far their devel­op­ment. If you breed once ornat­i­cauda or parvu­lus want that is impor­tant to bring the breed­ing time for the par­ents in safety, all, you can never see how many young ani­mals are to be expected.
