The rain­for­est in south­east Asia has been destroyed within a few decades only to a remark­ably wide extent, fol­lowed by a huge loss of ani­mal and plant life, and even the destruc­tion of the tra­di­tional hous­ing and cul­ture of the indi­ge­nious peo­ple liv­ing there since thou­sands of years.
