Hello all! With how well my Parosphromenus ‘sentang’ are doing, I am seriously considering getting another species next spring (it’s too close to winter to risk shipping them now). I have found that while I have no trouble keeping conductivity below 40 microsiemens, I tend to have problems pushing the PH down below the high 5’s, so paros that do not need outrageously low PH’s would be nice (as would it be if they looked different from P. sentang). To acidify the new tank (which is about 38 by 28 by 15 cm and holds about 12 litres), I am using decaffeinated black tea bags and peat granules in the ‘filter’ (whose sole purpose is actually to acidify the tank rather than provide any actual filtration…the tank has a heap of plants that will do that). Thankx in advance!
