Yes, thank you Bernd. To my knowledge this is the first video of P. sumatranus courtship. But I am a bit puzzled that the female does not join the male in his upright posture?! Remembering the photos shot by Karen Koomans – both partners standing upright one beside the other – I wonder whether you have seen this too, or not?
By the way, we need good photos of sumatranus courtship either. Perhaps you could shoot some, Bernd?Hi Peter
I think that the Balzstellung is not necessarily rigid. At times I see her play as we saw Karin, but that is rarely the case.
