Hi!
The last weeks I was too busy to write much here, but now I want to make a continuation of the subject, but in a better fitting category (I miss the category “illness”?)…
I made two new tanks for 1.1 and 1.2 phoenicurus.
The 1.2 tank and stuff was new bought, the 1.1 tank was the one with the ill female which I let dry out for three weeks (also filter), caves and plants I had cast away.
The male in the new tank was the one which the ill female.
In short, some weeks later I found the male dead in the tank and the two females were ill too …
Now I looked for 2-Amino-5-Nitrothiazol as written in the Paro book (the dry form is recommended there, the suspension would help not).
I couldn’t get in short time (first aid) the dry form of the medication, only Spirohexol plus 250 as a suspension.
And I am so glad – both females recovered back to life in a good mood!
For the summer I will let them rest in quarantine but in harvest I think to give them a male again.
I just wanted to post this good news – although the news are already some weeks old …. Because I was rather hopeless to heal these small fish and I feared to have got only the wrong medication…
