Greetings all,and forgive me if this has already been addressed.I have been wondering if anyone has had any experience with feeding Drosophila (wingless fruitflies).

I wonder, if anybody who writes in these forums have read the many informations on our fish advertised in the left of our frontpage.

Basic information is given there. Paros are – in spite of having a well-functioning labyrinth – nor surface fish. But normally they don’t use it for breathing. Therefore they normally live in greater depths and have no special relationship to the water surface. That means: Drosophila is not a suitable food for them.

Thank you Peter. Thought there might be this problem but wasn’t sure

I used to be bred Bettas, since that was a perfect food, but for most Paros these flies are likely to be too large, perhaps the larvae of Drosophila are good to feed, but the effort is likely to be something big.
