The female wasn’t sharing his enthusiasm I think, as you can see on the pictures she didn’t change her dress.
I did not have the time to watch them for long, but bought some glass worm. maybe that will make her change her mind.I also found out what was causing the pH to rise. so I’ll be able to lower it towards pH 4.
Please don’t keep us in the dark on the cause of the increase in pH :). You must share these things …
its quite silly,
I had some trouble whit a protein layer on the water surface.
It can, and did, help to give the biologic filter a bacteria boost whit some filter material or substrate from another tank. I used akadama substrate from one of my planted tanks, what I should have realised is that it stabilizes the pH at 6.2-6.4 Great for planted community tanks, but not for black water aquariums. :silly:
