Can tell you the leaf where the eggs were on went down on the ground  the male stayed under the leaf but the eggs didn’t come out. Saved 5 of them but in the end the Fungus got them. 5 days went by, and started yesterday to cut some plants and had somefloated on the other corner of the tank. Also the blyxa Japonica were growing awsome and had 5 extra to put in the Back right corner. To my surprise I saw a tiny fish. Did not know if it were my 2 new girls but didn’t look quite good until today 🙂
Have spotted 2 of them and they are already quiet big, think about 3/4 weeks. So my paro’s had already eggs before and my tank has enough hiding spaces 😛

November 3, 2015 at 10:56 pm #8528Jolanda WissebornParticipantGot a little video of my dominant pair, the males looks a little more bleu than his 2 brothers, they look more pinkish.
This pair is always in this right corner and looking for good places. The only thing is that the next day the eggs were gone 🙁May 5, 2016 at 2:29 am #8752Jolanda WissebornParticipantFinally got some youngsters out of that big tank of mine. The pairs are still in breeding mode but last time I got lucky to get some youngsters out. The are now about 3 months and I do think I got 2 males and 1 female.
Hope also that the little ones I got from the last nest will make it, the are really small.

this Sounds Great and I wish you all the best for your future breeding efforts. Sadly, I had to make the same experience that only very few of the linkei offspring survives. I think since the adult fish are getting larger than in other species, they might be eating even larger juveniles that would otherways already be safe.
However, large tanks and many hiding spots as well as sufficient feeding will help maximize the chances of the babies.May 6, 2016 at 11:58 am #8754Jolanda WissebornParticipantHello Rafeg,
Think your right cause my tank has loads of hidingspaces 😆 and the first I saw were quite big. But never saw them afterwards again.
Those now in the separate tank, those were still small but I noticed that also stress is not good. That’s why some didn’t survive. The last I caught was much bigger than the other 2, maybe getting more food in the nearby parents. Now I just got the eggs out and have 4 tiny youngsters again. In free swimming stage. 😉 Think this works better but the daddy didn’t like it at all. Got his breedinghole back but he went in and got out again and didn’t come in for 4 days 🙁May 8, 2016 at 5:08 am #8755Maurice MatlaParticipantThese guy´s are doing quite well.
July 22, 2016 at 10:01 pm #8908Jolanda WissebornParticipantThose youngsters are doing great, they aren’t shy at all and not afraid of me. There are in total 4 youngsters wich are visible for me and separated
