This has been a great week for the Parosphromenus genus. Our friend Wentian Shi has found true P. deissneri again and has photos as proof of their existence. For our North American members and followers we also have great news. I receive many messages and telephone calls each year asking if I have a source to obtain Paros, any species, in this hemisphere. In most cases I am unable to provide good news. However, I received an email from Rachel O’Leary, who many of you may recognize from her amazing series of videos on tropical fish. This week she was offered a very large shipment of fish that was refused by the original buyer. In this shipment was a large group of P. nagyi. She reports that they are currently in quarantine, eating and doing well! She is not taking orders currently as she wants to insure these fish have survived their journey in good health. I believe if you go to her website on Sunday or Monday she will have them posted with cost and availability (http://msjinkzd.com/stocklist/). This could be a wonderful opportunity for our American members to obtain some of this species. I will be standing in line!!

Rachel released a video this evening showing the tank of these fish. Her narrative while not perfect did describe a lot about these beautiful little fish. Hopefully, the male in the center of the video will be in the bag when the shipment arrives at my home 🙂 . For those individuals who are interested in viewing the fish I have included the link to the video. Hopefully this will energize interest in Paros in this country once again. It has been a long time without access to a reasonable supply. I will post more information once they arrive. I suspect that Almighty Joshaeus has also placed an order. Anyone else? Please let us know who has ordered from this shipment.

Well, maybe next time.
