Showing my 63L with 4 pairs Parosphromenus spec. Sintang / sentang. They seem to trive very good in this setup. There is not much farming on them, but it lives up two juveniles every time they breed. Now it’s six juveniles there from 3 different generations.
Ceep them at PH 5-5,5
This species I think is a perfect beginner Paro (?). Have had mine since they were young, in 9 months, and lost only one fish. They are very curious and beg for food when they see me. It’s pretty bright light in the aquarium but they are out in the open almost all the time, even if they have many hiding places. They spent only a week to accept frozen food. So they are mainly fed on frozen food. Varies time to time with live microorm, Daphnia and Hyalella Azteca.
Lisbeth – great set of photos of the Parosphromenus spec. Sintang / sentang. Thank you for sharing with us. You have had more than one pair spawn and have fry? Do the parents keep the fry seperate from the others? At what point do they become free swimming and on their own and no longer protected by their parents?

Sorry my late reply! Males guard their cave and eggs, but they do not take care of fry (as i can se). It is 4 pairs in the tank and it has probably grown up 6 fry, now almost mature. and som few very small fry there too. If I had taken out their parents would have many more of the fry grow up of course …
