Some months ago we announced that the Paro-project-management will try to organize the distribution of offspring of several species if the time has come. The aim is to help new friends who live in a “Paro-diaspora” to get hold of licorice gouramis by offering them fish that were bred by good breeders.

Now, the time has come. We can offer P. linkei trade and Seruyan, P. harveyi Selangor, P. quindecim trade, P. nagyi Kuantan. They were bred by Bernd Bussler, Peter Finke and Bernhard Lukiewski. Of course, the number is limited. And there is another strict limitation: For practical reasons, especially the problems with posting living animals, we have to confine the action in the beginning to Germany. We are very much interested to extend it to other countries in Europe later, however. But the problems herewith connected must be solved before.

The fish must be payed, of course. The price will be fixed by the breeders; probably it will be about 15,– Euros a pair. Costs for posting will be added.

The leader of our distribution-service is Bernd Bussler (Hamburg), member of our steering-group. During the last months we have assembled quite a number of names of persons who are interested to receive fish by this action. We shall contact them now and get the details clear. Perhaps, a mail to Bernd or to me will help not to forget anybody.

Should there be fish left, they will be offered to anybody at the meeting of the German IGL in Hamburg (October,7th to 9th, 2011).
