We have now with succes updated this site to Joomla 2.5, which I am very happy about. It took a little bit longer than expected, but it has also been quite a job. Not for me, but the person who did almost all the work for us, – and I am glad to say he has done a really fine job.
I think theres really very few things that may look different from the old site, – and theres also not many new things.
One new feature is that you now will find when you log in – under the login box – a user menu. Here you can see your details, – and change them, – and you will find a mailbox. This means that you now have the possibility of writing privat messages. It is not a very ‘fancy’ mailbox, just a simple one, – but it will make it possible to write to each other.
It should be easy to manage, but if you have any problems or dont understand how it works feel free to ask here.
We will test this option out and if it works well we will keep it 🙂There are a few things which I will look into over the next days, – I might find more along the way, and will post some information regarding it if I do, – so that you can know what is still in progress. If you find anything which does not work, please write to me.
Things to be done :
Images, when opening up to bigger size, is opening up in a new window, – this should not be so. Solved
Forum,- when clicking on the forum button, you get to a page where there is no head menu (forum menu) – you can get there, but its a bit silly that its not showing at first, – so I will try to get that fixed. There is also a problem with the main menu showing while reading in forum (only in the german and french )
Changing between languages : – it may happen that if you change from one language to another, you will be taken back to ‘home’ instead of staying with the same artikle that you are reading. This is just manual work which will be done as quickly as possible, and has to do with linking the articles together in a certain way. A bit tidious work 🙂 Mostly done -
