It’s for sure a dominant female of P. tweediei.
The females like Bartian says have no distinct bands and another thing is that the Dorsal fin has a rounded end.@ Bartian. I’m already informed jet by Ruinemans about the P.nagyi. Today I’m taking some pictures to confirm the species.
I will keep you informed.
Best regards,
ArminArmin SchäferParticipantI ordered them 2 month ago and they are from a exporter in Singapore.
@Bartian, The catchers never tell the trad. were they catch their fish.Peter I will send you and Martin Hallmann each two pairs to define the species.
Best regards,
ArminArmin SchäferParticipant
Its hard to say, – I wouldnt be able to, – but its a very interesting fish, nice to see that it actually is maybe ‘close’ to what they say it should be.
Have you ruled out opallios ?
No I don’t have ruled out opallios and even not rubrimontis.
If you take 25 males you can see little difference in the drawings like at a wild Poecilia wingei strain.
Armin SchäferParticipantAre we talking about this species?
https://www.parosphromenus-project.org/en/p-phoenicurus.htmlArmin SchäferParticipantHi all,
On Monday I have retrieved the first 25 pairs of Parosphromenus “tweediei” from ruinemans? They are special orderd by Bettas pride (by me) for the parospromenus-project. Just as Bartian says it isn’t the tweediei and it cold be the spec. Langgam or the cf. aff. tweediei.(see pictures)
The first one is from.

The second is the one we are talking about. sorry for the bad picture quality.
On the third and the fourth one you can see sp.langgam.
