    Hello Dorothee,
unlikely, even if there is something in it.
I regularly use fertilizer with iron, calium etc.
Of course in small quantities. So far, nothing negative noticed.

Thanks for the info, Dorothee. It was feared that the tests are too expensive for many measurements.

In water without carbonate hardness (rainwater) of PH is very labile.
Smallest amounts of acidic or alkaline substances cause quite a change.
How high is the electrical conductivity? pre- u. after filtering?
So slight variations are usually harmless.
PH measurements in water with low conductivity are anyway difficult –
    and usually wrong.

    Hello Jonette,
if you have some carbonate hardeness in the water the ph dont go lower.
Use clean rain -water or osmose-water.

    Greetings Arno

    Hello Jonette,
Really sour blackwater isnt good for the most Plants. There are only some spezies of plants they survive the sour blackwater.
Some swimming plants grow even 😉

A popular form of spong filter is in Germany the “Hamburger Mattenfilter” –> google
