Wow, there is a nice expression how circulated tanks can be.
As I already wrote I am also trying a little pump. The circulation is very soft, becouse I used the smallest one I can find (actually for nano or shrimp tanks) and lead it into swimming plants. So there is a circulated part and a still standing one.
The Parosphromenus seem to be in both parts but the linkei is more there than the sumatranus, wether they swim sometimes still standing in the foat.
Benjamin WildenKeymasterNow it´s clear. Both of the young P. sumatranus are male.
What should I do?
And you argument that the statistic is the point is possible, but I had 15 juvenile Langgam and 12 Sungai Bertam, 2 sumatranus; all male. That would me a big mess if it is only statistic.
And the P.linkei 5 male and 6 female was really a win in the lottery?
I can´t believe that.
Benjamin WildenKeymasterI tried a lot of different shrimps and think that a lot of species are good for Parosphromenus tanks. Expecially the ones who use to have babies in normal Parosphromenus tanks are interesting. They will clean the tank and become food for a while. In my case I handle C.pariventata, they should not life in my water, but they do.
They seem not to eat the young of the Paros, but I am not sure at this point.Have anybody information about that?
In my tank two P. sumatranus grew up. With shrimps and a female of P. linkei.
The shrimprate is going down this time although there are enouth female with eggs. Maybe the Paros specialize.
In my opinion shrimps are good in tanks wich are not in use for intensive breeding.
