Really beautiful aquariums here so that you will present and how much space have your Paros, if I my other hand so see https://www.parosphromenus-project.org/media/kunena/emoticons/sad.png………. but I breed “only” have no plants except leaves and peat no setup, just so I can breed controls and raise enough Paros. But I rejoice again and again to your beautiful aquarium and pictures.https://www.parosphromenus-project.org/media/kunena/emoticons/w00t.png

Very nice photos, would be happy if I could so.
Now all the eggs will not hatch after my experience and one thing or another cub that is hatched, will certainly eaten, but there are always a few left if they can hide well. The juveniles remain at least 2 to 3 weeks in the vicinity of the base for a later only up so that you can see them.
Nice that we have such a beautiful series of photographs from the spawning and many Parointeressiert to view it. thanks

If several caves are available or a favorable hideout, it is perfectly normal that the breeding grounds for disturbances which pass for example by people at the aquarium, be amended by pets or by disturbing light or other

There were certainly more, maybe you’ll find a few more. if the young swim freely, after about a week, goes to the parental care instinct of parents and in most species are then eaten the young, who have only very well hidden survive, but 1 cm then he is safe

Nice, hope it works out with the offspring, do you have enough food for the small ?. They are really very small and need in the first days much fodder otherwise starve them and there are only a few left

It’s now happened on several occasions, the participants of Parotagung on the homepage of the conference hotel to see the all the rooms are booked. That is not so, the rooms are blocked for IGL-session and for the Paro-conference. Just send a mail to the hotel, there are still plenty of rooms available.

It always depends on the quality of water, soft water, many bubbles, the harder blow the water the less. In addition, it also depends always a bit from the males from some build foam nests others not, but the two go and have the eggs rather no effect, only with “hard water” seem the eggs not good to stick to the ceiling and fall frequently down , 🙂

We hope it provides anyone to have this kind permanently in offspring, so that we always have enough ornaticauda in backlog.

Thanks Dorothee I do think though have also bred, but the amount is very manageable, so think 6 pups, but are also the first this year. They are very shy and still quite small. When you are ready I will start eight pairs at once in the hope finally to get a few more pups.

It does just that. The biomass in a swamp created by dead plant debris that is acidic. If water is naturally acidic, it transpires. Usually it is rainwater that has itself hardly cured.
I do it basically the same way, with rainwater / over peat. If you have a 55 ĩS and peat filterst the Ph value is definitely under 5. You need not worry about the pH do. Too low is really only when it really wants. Ph 3 is found in nature only in the rarest of cases and the number of bacteria will decrease already at pH 5. Few Paros need extreme water values and I use it only to get as many fertilized eggs. But with “normal values” for example, 5.5 to 6 pH are always fertilized eggs and one has to always get enough pups to the stock.
    Greeting Bernd
