Davy GrenouilletParticipant
I believe that the male eats only eggs in fact! It nourished not beside that! Every week he eats his eggs for the week to come…
Next clutch I take the eggs and I isolate them with a little leave of catappa in a little jar with parents tank water.
My female loves Mosquitos larvae!
Davy GrenouilletParticipantTks Pavel!
I received my order from interaquaristik, I give Moina Futter to my Moinas at this moment. Waiting for chlorella and green water…
Davy GrenouilletParticipantPavel,
What frequence to give fertiliser to Chlorella?
Davy GrenouilletParticipantI saw Tetra Medica Fungistop, maybe I can use this funghicide for the clutch!
Davy GrenouilletParticipantHello Peter,
Tks for your help!
I presume that the male eat the eggs. I don’t saw it but the eggs disappear in the nest and only the male keep them.
I have a breeding box to put the clutch in the adult fish tank but can I put the clutch in a little jar outside the tank with the water tank? If yes, need to change water in the jar?
What funghicides to use?
I’ll contact Hans Schellein to see if he has phoenicurus for sell.
Davy GrenouilletParticipantNo eggs in the nest…
Davy GrenouilletParticipant5 eggs staying…
Davy GrenouilletParticipantHello Dorothee,
Yours water parameters are good,
I think that the Paros from Bernd are ready to breed. I have 3 species from Bernd, they breed at home after 1 week!
Davy GrenouilletParticipantDid you see with Martin? He says to me that was his last phoenicurus couple but I don’t know… He has declared 2 couples for the census of April.
I will have offsprings when the male will stop to eat the eggs!
Davy GrenouilletParticipantTks Bernd!
A couple of phoenicurus?
Davy GrenouilletParticipantTks Pavel!
I hope too but I don’t think…
Davy GrenouilletParticipant15-20 eggs in the nest this morning…
Davy GrenouilletParticipantBernd,
My 4 tanks have the same configuration and plants. It works perfectly with yours 3 species, many youngs in their tanks.
I keep hope for the phoenicurus, maybe the male will stop to eat the eggs one day!
The femelle is ready to breed all the week and I’ve eggs each time.Davy GrenouilletParticipantI looked in the nest and there are many very fresh eggs! We will see the male how long will put to eat them… For the water parameters I cannot better do!
Edit: pH 4,55 – 60 us – 25,5ºC.
I can reduce the conductivity for the next time but they already breed at 35 us and the male had eaten the eggs the last time!
Davy GrenouilletParticipantYes but the problem is not here! My combo works fine.
The problem is that my phoenicurus male eat the eggs after 2 days…
I had pH of 5,60 in the tank with 2 cups of peat granules, I change it for 4 new cups. The water is very dark! I changed water this morning, I know that my pH is under 5,60 and I’ll mesure it tomorrow to see.
My male has made a big bubble nest on the cannister but the femelle is not ready to breed because she eat only a liitle brine shrimp, she prefers to eat Moinas!
I’m waiting Moinas from Germany… -
