Jolanda WissebornParticipant
Got a little video of my dominant pair, the males looks a little more bleu than his 2 brothers, they look more pinkish.
This pair is always in this right corner and looking for good places. The only thing is that the next day the eggs were gone 🙁Jolanda WissebornParticipantThanks Russ, for this tip
I wasn’t with the meeting but this will be also a great way for me to move the nests. I have 3 pairs now of Linkei, last September I did got 2 female’s xtra for the 2 other males. They all are paired up now, and got already some young in my big tank. Also running now, 2 extra 40 tanks for any new nests or young.
If there are eggs? Will they all hatch without any parents?Jolanda WissebornParticipantHello Vale, what if you don’t use any carbon in the filters, could this also be an influence of the AOA?
Jolanda WissebornParticipantThank you Vale, 😉 also from me. It’s quiet an interesting paper to read although this kind of English was hard to figure out
I shure hope this will be tested some day with low ph aquaria, like Bennie mennaged.
Would really like to find out if leaves and so on, have influence on everything in a Aqua with low ph and osmose water. I’m testing my nitrate and nitriet every week, but they are all zero. Gonna try to measure my microsiemens, got a big testcase of Sera, but don’t know if it’s in there. Hmmmm interesting 😳Jolanda WissebornParticipantI do use a filter for my peat and the flow is very slow. I also notice that the young fish I have do feed also from the existing bacteria or infusurien. I do not really measure my microsiemens of the water but see the water stays clear, the beechleaves I use stays very long in their natural shape.
It’s great Maurice you took also the jump, just read here a lot and try.
Jolanda WissebornParticipantThis is how my tanks looks today,
In the right corner is now the plants Wich I cut
Jolanda WissebornParticipantCan tell you the leaf where the eggs were on went down on the ground  the male stayed under the leaf but the eggs didn’t come out. Saved 5 of them but in the end the Fungus got them. 5 days went by, and started yesterday to cut some plants and had somefloated on the other corner of the tank. Also the blyxa Japonica were growing awsome and had 5 extra to put in the Back right corner. To my surprise I saw a tiny fish. Did not know if it were my 2 new girls but didn’t look quite good until today 🙂
Have spotted 2 of them and they are already quiet big, think about 3/4 weeks. So my paro’s had already eggs before and my tank has enough hiding spaces 😛
Jolanda WissebornParticipantThanks guys 🙂
The next picture is from today,8th Oktober 2015
Jolanda WissebornParticipantThe male in the cave did only gard his space for the other 2 males, there were no eggs.
But………..Did a 50% waterchange this weekend and got a piece of wood out of the tank the day before wich got my Javafern. Some leaves got brown and did get those brown leaves out. Wanted to put it back today and cut my other plant Wich is all over the surface until I saw this 🙂
See the pictures have turned aside again, the eggs are on top.
These are taken on the 6th of Oktober 2015
Jolanda WissebornParticipantRaFeG is this also ment by the colors?? In your schedule? more pair’s, more green. What do you take as estimate?? 10 pair’s?
Maybe I’m to blond lol :whistle:Jolanda WissebornParticipantThank for your thorough explaination, now I do understand a little more. It’s also more to see how many people have how many pair’s Wich are more dangerous than the other. Or to see what is happening with what kind of pair’s over the years. It’s rather sorry than that you can’t make that overall view from the years, maybe it’s possible if you make for every year your own statistics,(own made report) but that will give more work 🙁
It’s great you even started this and it’s still there, survived the time.Jolanda WissebornParticipantIt’s for me the same, think Peter is right to also count the non pair’s. It shure give then the uppertunity for others to trade or buy.
For instant: I do have only one female and three males. Shure also one is the dominant, he’s the biggest and the most colored although another male is not scared of him.
Think counting all the fish is a good idea.Jolanda WissebornParticipantWauw, they look amazing, how big are they from the start? Are they also.looking like little pinpoints in the beginning? Very great picture.
Jolanda WissebornParticipantIt’s originally my hometown, I was born in Leiden 😉 so enjoy tomorrow.
Jolanda WissebornParticipantHope you’ll like it, it’s a great exhibition.
