Thank you for your clear explanation.

I live a few minute´swalk from a garden center so that shouldnot be a problemat all. And in the park just around the corner i can get all the aldercones ,beech and oak leaves i can ever dream off.
So alland allit seems very doable.

I do not really think that is a very great issue. Sperm usually is not long lived as far as i know.

But another thing that come´s to mind is that not also 2 pairs would have to spawn so close to eachoter in time changes are very low and of course eggs are so quickly fertilized after the female releases them also the cange that the current leads it to the right place in the right time…

I think the changes would be very slim indeed.

Your answers and particulairly the explanations with them are very helpful. It is much apreciated.

I asume it would be helpful if one uses only leaves to place the tank either on a dark surface or paint the outside of the botton pane of glass in a dark brown or black ?

Of course no substrate makes cleaning out yout tank if ever it may be needed just that bit easier.

    Thank you Yankadi

Well that is of course one of the reasons to considder these guy´s over ,for instance discus or angelfish.

It is a pretty big changeover though. Still wrapping my head around the idea that these tanks can be actually 20-70 fold smaller than wat i know…

In some way´s it´smore difficult it seens in other way´s not so.

I mean yes water preparation is a must but no elaborated lighting required, no plant care additives (Kno3, Kpo4, etc) no Co2 i take it no careful pruning 1-2 a week and so on.

    Thank you.

I allready found more here then i did anywhere else so that should be a good sign.

Indeed it is a bit different for one the water here straight from the tap is very suited for a planted showtank not so for breeding Paro´s. Thus i would have to learn how to prepare water wich is a new thing.

Ah well allpart of new ¨game¨i guess.
