    They are ‘big yellow’ Bettas (waseri group’ from Kupuuas – I’ve found them alongside B.mandor, P.ornaticauda and P.anjunganensis. Although habitat is as stated, they are tolerant of most water conditions and easy too feed although they can be a bit boisterous !

    Was there a year ago but had to push deep into the forest down the small stream and got badly scratched and bitten to find harveyi and livida

    I caught them on the way to Desaru with Tony Pinto, Paul Jordan and Dennis Yong. We took a mining road and found them where we hoped there’s be alfredi. I have pictures of habitat and fish themselves but only a vague recollection of how we found the site.
