Parosphromenus cf. alfredi (Ruinemans 2013)
This particular fish was bought in a shop in Copenhagen in 2013, and was reported to come from an import via the dutch importer Ruinemans.
It was labelled P.tweediei.
There have been discussion regarding whether it was a correct identification, — this has been an interesting debate, as it has shown how difficult actual identification of in particular the species P.tweediei can be. The species as we know it is very close to P. alfredi, P.rubrimontis. Theres has been experts having different opinions about this particular fish, — most are quite sure it should be labelled p. cf. alfredi.
Theres no doubt it is an extremely beatiful fish, and at the moment it has been distributed to many other breeders in Europe.
